To what extent did war change medicine? This teaching resource for Key Stage 3 explores the development of medicine throughout the war and examines the ways the war was responsible for these changes. Using sources from St Bartholomew's Hospital and The Royal London Hospital Archives these teaching packs allow pupils to explore how society and women in particular were affected by the changes in medicine.

The Medicine activity sheet offers teachers suggestions of how to use the primary source material in the classroom.

Using a range of primary sources from Queen Mary, St Bartholomew's Hospital and The Royal London Hospital archives this resource provides pupils with a number of different views and accounts of life on the front line enabling them to challenge the idea that the front line was all 'Mud and Murder'.

'Just how terrifying were air raids in London during World War One?' This teaching resource for Key Stage 3 examines how zeppelin raids impacted the lives of those living in London. It uses a range of primary sources from Queen Mary, St Bartholomew's Hospital and The Royal London Hospital archives. These resources offer the opportunity for pupils to explore how the zeppelin raids were experienced by those in East London, how the raids were depicted by the media and what different accounts can tell us about the home front during the war.
