This section utilises the Queen Mary University of London Archives and examines some of the sources relating to soldiers’ experience of the frontline. The wide range of sources reflect the different ways in which soldiers experienced the war on the fighting front. While the sources mainly focus on the British ‘Tommies’ experience of war there are some sources which provide an insight into the German perspective of war.
